  2. #2 Best Colleges for Agricultural Sciences in AmericaUniversity of FloridaGainesville, FL·4 Year·Rating 3.92 out of 5 8,100 reviewsJunior: My experience with the University of Florida (UF) has been quite positive overall. UF is known for its strong academic programs and rigorous standards which is one of the main reasons I chose to attend. The campus is vibrant, offering over 1,000 student organizations, academic clubs, cultural organizations, sports, or the arts, there is something for everyone. UF benefits from a mix of urban and natural environments, the city is a friendly, college-town vibe and plenty of outdoor activities, cultural events, and a warm climate. However, there are areas for improvement. Some introductory courses can be quite large, making it challenging for students to get individual attention. Streamlining academic advising will be very beneficial. Parking is one of the largest problems too because it is very difficult to find a spot and lots of fines to go around.... After touring many campuses before choosing OSU, I realized that OSU was the only one that truly felt like home. The people there are very friendly and will start conversations with you even if you don't know them. There are many on campus clubs, activities, events, etc that makes it very easy to get involved. You cannot miss an opportunity to get involved because there are booths everywhere every single day! Sporting events are very lively and fun as well. There is always someone on the Campus that is willing to help you with whatever you need, as well as support groups. A very unique thing that the campus has to offer is a therapy dog program called Petes Pet Posse. It is a great combination between academics and a social scene. I felt like there was always something to do, but there also wasn't immense pressure to go with the crowd. The campus is beautiful with many places to study and hang out with friends. Athens as a whole has also been so much fun to live in. It was more of a small town that I originally expected, but I learned to love its charm. As for academics, I have found great mentorship from my professors, and I have genuinely enjoyed every program I have gotten involved in on campus. From the moment I stepped onto campus, I was welcomed with open arms into a vibrant community that celebrates diversity and fosters academic excellence. I was fascinated by how inclusive this community is and the variety of clubs it has to offer aimed at fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. I am grateful to the fact that this university has become my home away from home. However, there are a few things that could enhance the experience of future incoming students. For an international student, there were many official tasks like opening up bank accounts, and registering for classes that were not explained very well and could be highly confusing for students who are in a different country and are not familiar with how things work here. If you are in liberal arts, there is a nice community but it is small and not nearly as funded as the STEM programs. Campus is walkable filled with nice community spaces and plenty of libraries, cafes, and rooms to study and meet with classmates. A lot of school spirit centered around the athletics. Most people live off campus starting second year. The apartments in Chauncey Square are an excellent location and close to night life spots and restaurants. Campus is very diverse and there are many opportunities to join clubs and student groups. Purdue is only 1 or 2 hours away from two different international airports, and shuttle busses run nearly everyday between those airports and Purdue campus, making travel easier for international or out of state students. It was memorable playing against professors and teaching assistants. My favorite type of people I met were the design students. They were totally different from when I was majoring in software engineering (no hate to them or anything). The creativity and happiness I felt when surrounding myself with them was spectacular. Clemson has a unique atmosphere where you can tell the majority of students prioritize their academics unlike other campuses I have been to. Additionally, I have never met a rude person at Clemson. The housing department is difficult to work with, to say the least. But I found a cheap apartment near campus so it turned out fine. The food on campus is great! I haven't gotten involved with clubs or organizations just yet, but I definitely plan to. I was able to study in multiple areas on campus, attend supplemental instruction and gain more practice and reaffirm me knowledge of the material in class. I found out the best way I retain material and what study habits worked best for me. Overall, I have only a few things I would change. I had a roomate issue which escalated and it was reported multiple times, but housing took a while to resolve the issue. 24. #22 Best Colleges for Agricultural Sciences in AmericaUniversity of Idahom*oscow, ID·4 Year·Rating 3.7 out of 5 1,866 reviewsFreshman: Attending the University of Idaho marked a significant transition for me, pushing me into new experiences and opportunities. Situated in the charming town of Moscow, the university's faculty have to make do with little towns resources. Despite our geographical disposition, the campus remains pretty with a variety of weekly events, offering not only a sense of community but also reasonable prices for entertainment. However, the cost of on-campus meals and first-year housing often proves burdensome for students, straining their budgets. While I am generally satisfied with my campus experience thus far, I particularly want to make changes in the realm of student housing. My initial year in the dormitories was lackluster at best and left me with a sense of isolation often. Although with all things considered...I love the University of Idaho! GO VANDALS!... 25. #23 Best Colleges for Agricultural Sciences in AmericaUniversity of ArkansasFayetteville, AR·4 Year·Rating 3.88 out of 5 3,658 reviewsJunior: I enjoy going to school here at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. I'm in the band so I play at the football and basketball games, and it's so much fun. However, there are some safety concerns I wish I knew about before attending here. College frat parties are very unsafe, especially for women. Frats have gotten into trouble for sneaking underage high school girls in. The Phi Gamma Delta frat house, known as "Fiji", has a "stairs of consent", where if you get dragged up there for any reason, anyone is able to do anything to you without your consent. Many, many women have been forced up there.... 26. #24 Best Colleges for Agricultural Sciences in AmericaCal Poly San Luis ObispoSan Luis Obispo, CA·4 Year·Rating 3.77 out of 5 4,017 reviewsSenior: Cal Poly gives a lot of bang for your buck, especially as an amazing school everybody around the world wants to go to. The learn-by-doing attitude reigns true with most of the classes taken here. It may be tough for you or your child to feel welcome here at first but it gets better with time as you find people you enjoy. Classes are great and for every 5-9 professors there's 1 bad one. The school/area is more right-leaning than other schools in the state which may be your cup of tea. The Frat party culture is very toxic here, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to pay over 200-300 dollars a month. Plus partying is bad for your health :/. The area is wonderful for outdoors but the party life outside of frats is left much to be desired. There are minimal bars on the main street and no true club to go to in the area which is unfortunate. Christian life is superb here as there are a variety of different churches for people to try out! There isn't enough to do here but it's great!... 27. #25 Best Colleges for Agricultural Sciences in AmericaMississippi State UniversityMississippi State, MS·4 Year·Rating 3.96 out of 5 2,273 reviewsGraduate Student: I loved my time at Mississippi State. I grew up going to campus frequently and was so excited to finally get to campus. The past 4 years definitely exceeded my expectations. Overall, the campus is beautiful and it is easy to get to and from classes in a timely manner. The town is big enough to have a good time, but small enough to keep the small SEC feeling at the same time. I can honestly say in my 4 years taking classes, I could count on my hand the professors that I did not like: they care about their students and work to help in anyway that they can. Some of the buildings are a little outdated, but there are many renovations occurring on the campus right now to improve this. I would highly recommend attending MSU!...
