Jordan -- William F. Jordan III, 65, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, passed away on June 28, 2000. He is survived by his daughters, Constance Kent and husband, Sammie, Joanna Erni and husband, Charles, Kathryn Miller and husband, Terry, Annette Martinez and Myrtle Taylor; sons, George Fisher and Terise Gonzalez, Michael Jordan and Stephen Jordan; brother, Charles Jordan, all of Albuquerque; aunt, Parthenia Porter of Asheville, NC; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his mother, Addie L. Garrett Jordan. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2000, at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 Arno SE, with Rev. W.M. Brown and Rev. V.L. Bobbs, officiating. Padilla -- Eutimia"Timia" Padilla, 78, former longtime Albuquerque resident, died Saturday, June 24th, after a long illness in Los Angeles, CA, where she had been living for several years. Services for Mrs. Padilla will be held in Albuquerque. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in the mortuary chapel. The Rosary will be recited by the family and friends at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW, and a Requiem Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 30 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper St. NW. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A reception will be held after services at the home of her brother, Nicolas and Lila Sanchez at 2721 Rhode Island NE. A Memorial service for Mrs. Padilla was held Tuesday in Los Angeles for family and friends there. The Sanchez family came to the Atrisco area of Albuquerque from the Jarales, Casa Colorado, and Belen areas in the 1930s, then became very active in the whole Albuquerque area. Mrs. Padilla was born in Atrisco in 1922 and was a 1942 graduate of Albuquerque High School. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, George Ray Chavez Jr. and is survived by her children, Joe Elias Chavez of Los Angeles, Joe Padilla of Albuquerque; and her daughter, Mary Ann Pasillas and her husband, Joaquin of Los Angeles; grandchildren, George Roy Chaves Jr. of Elko, NV and Sherri Barth of Albuquerque, Jessica Padilla and Joe Raymond Padilla of Albuquerque and Jasmine and Nicolas Pasillas of Los Angeles; and two great-grandchildren, Dominique Barraza and Alexandria Miller of Albuquerque. The surviving brothers and sisters of Mrs. Padilla are Mrs. Ciria Montoya and Nicolas Sanchez of Albuquerque and Dolores Soto, Alfred Sanchez and Jose Maria Sanchez of Los Angeles, Alex Sanchez of Albuquerque, and Ernest Sanchez of Denver. Pallbearers are Nick Sanchez Jr., Patrick Montoya, Robert Sanchez, Steve Soto, Joe Raymond Padilla and Nicolas Pasillas. Arrangements by Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.

Haynes -- Tonda Suzanne Haynes, 25, died of a brain tumor on May 5, 2000, at her parents' home in Fallbrook,CA. Tonda and her parents were former Albuquerque residents. She was the daughter of Beth and Chas Mudie of Fallbrook, CA and Ron and Luan Haynes of Hudson, FL. Miss Haynes was born in Conway, South Carolina and was a 1992 graduate of LaCueva High School. While at LaCueva, she was a varsity volleyball player and a Russian exchange student. She was a member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a 1996 graduate of Texas Tech University, where she was named to the Dean's list and was a member of the Miller Girls Service Organization. Following graduation she had worked in Texas in sales until her recent move to California. A Memorial service will be held at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE, on Saturday, June 24, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tonda Haynes Scholarship Fund, (a perpetual scholarship to Texas Tech) c/o Elaine Watkins, 992 Old Fort Rd., Fairview, NC 28730.

Davis -- Robert Miller Davis, age 75, passed away at New Albany Gardens and Care Center on June 18, 2000. Preceded in death by his parents, Preston Davis and Mary F. Davis; by his sister, Elizabeth Davis Cook; and by his brother, Preston Davis Jr. Survived by nephews, Herb Cook Jr. (Kathe), Preston Davis Cook (Helen), Frank H. Cook II (Sue) and Peter Miller Davis (Caron); nieces, Elizabeth Cook Werth (Bill) and Jane Davis; brother-in-law, Herbert S. Cook; sister-in-law, Irene L. Davis; and step-mother, Julia M. Davis. Formerly a resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Albuquerque, Bob attended the Columbus Academy and the University of New Mexico. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and later pursued various business and personal interests, including flying, sailing, auto racing, selling and collecting vintage sports cars, and computer programming. Foster -- Dr. William H. (Dub) Foster died at Golden Age Nursing Center on June 11, 2000 in Clovis. He was born on April 1, 1910 in Success, Arkansas, to Rev. David Kirby and Bessie Elizabeth Foster. Most of his growing-up years were spent in Doniphan and Caruthersville, Missouri, where his father was a Baptist Minister. Both towns provided him with many cherished friends and memories. Dr. Foster was a longtime educator in both Missouri and New Mexico. He began his teaching career in Portagesville, Missouri, and went from there to Caruthersville, Missouri, where he was an elementary school principal. He was superintendent in Wardell, Missouri, after which the family moved to the Southwest. Dr. Foster began his New Mexico years in Carlsbad as high school principal. From there he was superintendent in both Raton and Farmington. While in New Mexico, Dr. Foster was involved in numerous other school-related activities. He helped to organize, and then directed, branch community colleges at Carlsbad, Raton and Farmington, New Mexico. He also served as president of the School Administrators of New Mexico and was a member of the State Board of Education. After leaving New Mexico, Dr. Foster spent three years teaching at the University of Arizona and nine years teaching at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. Dr. Foster was actively involved in church and civic affairs in each of the towns where he lived, as well. He earned his Bachelors degree at Murray State College in Murray, Kentucky; his Masters at George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, Tennessee, and his Doctorate from the University of Arizona. Dr. Foster was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. David Kirby Foster and Bessie Gerrish Foster; his first wife, Frances Lee Broach Foster; a daughter, Frances Linda Foster; and his brothers, Lowell, Wayman and Welton Foster. He is survived by his second wife, Helen Louise Faulkner McDowell Foster of Warrensburg, MO; his daughter, Jean Foster Miller of Clovis; two step-sons, Richard and Jim McDowell of Blue Springs and Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews. Dub Foster was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He spent endless hours playing games with and telling stories to three generations of children. His love of nature was illustrated in a little book of stories about the various animals and birds which he loved and observed during 20 years at his beloved cabin on Pomme de Terre Lake in the Missouri Ozarks. He instilled an appreciation of all things in nature plus a sense of honor and fair play in his many oral and written stories. Additionally, he was a role model and mentor for hundreds of people who chose to follow him into the field of education. Graveside services were held Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Skip Clark officiated. Memorial scholarship fund has been established in Dr. Foster's name at Clovis Community College, 417 Schepps Blvd., Clovis, NM 88101. Taylor -- Bruce R. Taylor, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Ruth L. Taylor of Moriarty; sons, Bruce Lee Taylor of Deming, NM and Stephen Paul Taylor and wife, Shelly of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Lynne Ann Baggs and husband, Jerry of Spur, TX and Deborah Gail Brown and husband, Robert J. of Chandler, AZ; nine grandchildren; brothers, Donald C. Taylor and wife, Pauline of Albuquerque and James R. Taylor of Los Angeles, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Taylor worked 40 years with General Office Supply, Howden Stationery, and B.T. Office Supply. He retired in 1999. Services will be held Friday, June 16, 2000, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Valley Cemetery near Edgewood. Pallbearers will be Doug Taylor, David Taylor, Felix Lindauer, Terry L. Palmer, Jeff Miles, and Jim Hickman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, Albuquerque Central Camp, P.O. Box 80035, 87108.

Wallace -- Inez R. Wallace, 88, a resident of Albuquerque for 35 years, died Monday, May 29, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Leonard R. Wallace; daughter, Lynne Lovejoy, both of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Dana Hubbard and husband, Bob of Sauquoit, NY, and Debra Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; great-grandson, Joshua Gage of Manhattan Beach, CA; and sister, June Miller of Tacoma, WA. Mrs. Wallace was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was active with United Methodist Women. She was a former member of the NAACP. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead Ave. SW, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield officiating.
